Vincent, May 30th, 2007 Today was a very important day, it was your first birthday. the very first one of your life. I believe, the most important. You are such a big boy now, we went and got your pictures taken, when i got the pictures done and they showed them to me, only then did i realize how much you really have grown, you no longer look like a little baby, you look like a little boy. I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday, you were so incredibly tiny, only weighing in at 4 lbs 12 oz. i was so impatient to get to know you, wondering what kind of personality you would have. At some point in this past year, you morphed into someone i call My Son, My Boogie, My Brat, My baby, My Vincent, and now... My Little Boy. You have, by far the best personality a mommy could ask her child to have.You have a slick way of charming everyone who meets you. I'm sure those cute dimples you get when you smile is your secret weapon, or maybe its that cute laugh you do, when you scrunch up your nose and squint your eyes. I know you wont remember this day, but i want you to know i tried my very best to make it a great and fun day for you, all i wanted was for you to be happy. If keeping you happy meant i had to sing the birthday song to you over and over again while driving on the way to the restaurant , i did it, and you probably wont even remember smiling at me through my visor mirror as i was driving, singing you the birthday song for the hundredth time while you were sitting in your car seat clapping your tiny hands together. Yesterday you learned to clap for the first time, so its your new favorite thing to do. anything to make you laugh. i promise i will never ever forget this day, i will remember it forever, just like i will always remember the day you were born. i love you so much.
