♥The Day I Found Out I Was A Mommy
posted on Thursday, November 1, 2007.

Crazy Hip Blog Mama's asked us to write about a time during our pregnancy, so i thought what better than to write about the day i found out that i was pregnant.

It took us about a month of crazy hot sex to become pregnant with our son who is now 17 months old, but i remember the day the pregnancy test read positive as if it happened yesterday. Here's how it happened...

I'm one of those women who are very impatient, so when we decided it was time to start making a baby i figured it would take about six months, or at least that's what i had researched... 'six months' i thought, 'why cant it just happen now?'. Still I set myself up with the mind site that i so wouldn't get pregnant for another six months, little did i know it was alot sooner than i thought.

A month and a half later i woke in the morning and decided to take a pregnancy test, 'why not' i thought 'it cant hurt... after all i know I'm not pregnant, i cant possibly be, its just not that easy'. I climbed out of bed did my thing with the test and came back to lay down and almost fell asleep before i remembered to go check the test. When i picked the stick up and there were two pink lines instead of one i blink a few times and grabbed the box from the trash can and held the directions next to the stick... 'holy shit! no way. yes! i am so pregnant' i went immediately to tell The Daddy who was getting ready for work, we hugged and i told him 'now lets not get to excited, in fact... act like it didn't even happen, you know this test might be wrong, and i don't want to set myself up for failure' we agreed .I went to research on the Internet on how often pregnancy tests say positive when in all reality you really arnt pregnant... my research told me that it pretty much never happens and it is more likely to say negative when you are pregnant than positive when you arnt.

through out the next month i took about 5 more tests... just to see it say positive again and again and each time i got more excited , finally The Daddy said 'enough is enough, you arnt buying any more tests, you really are pregnant!' ...

I still have all 6 pregnancy tests in a keep sake box, and every time i rummage through the box and catch a glimpse of them i feel the same excitement i felt that very day when i first found out i was going to be a Mommy.
