Baby's first ornament(s).
For Vincents first Christmas i looked everywhere for a Baby's first ornament that i liked and never found one, so we just got him a personal ornament. It was a lion with his name and the date on it and i just went got Daxton his first baby ornament which is a pirate ship and it also has his name and the date on it. Nothing better than personalizing and its so much better than the generic Baby's first Christmas ornaments you buy from the stores.

Daxton is 15wks old now.

...and this was what our yard and lake in the backyard looked like this morning, it was very foggy and beautiful. i love it in the mornings when it is calm and clear and there is fog just resting on the water. This morning there was just fog everywhere, but not any less pretty.

what Daxton is up to at 14wks of age-

  • he can obviously hold his head up very well.
  • he can roll over from his tummy onto his back.
  • he can roll from his back onto his side.
  • hes started to reach out and touch things.
  • he tries to sit up on his own.
  • he can watch people or things from across the room.
  • hes starting to teeth.
  • smiles.
  • giggles.
  • babbles.
  • coos.
  • gurgles.
  • squeals.
  • & drools.

♥Infant Signing. [begining @ 13wks old]

I'm going to begin teaching Daxton Sign Language tomorrow starting with the words 'milk' and 'potty'. I will be using the potty gesture for his diaper changings because it seems like it would be easier for him to learn than the gesture for 'change'.

Vincent knew about 15 signs when he was a baby, but i hadn't started signing with him until he was about 6 months old, so it wasn't until about 8-10 months before we actually started seeing results. I'm hoping that by starting gestures this early with Daxton that by atleast 6 months old he will be using the signs that hes been taught daily. The plan is to save us alot of frustration through easy communication and being able to understand what he wants. Sign language helped me a great deal with Vincent and with his first sign being the word 'more' it came in handy.
