 Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.) Is it what i think it is When i was pregnant with Vincent i could feel him moving in about week 13, i thought it was him but i wasn't sure until he got bigger and the thumps he created were bigger. I realised the soft thumps were the same as the hard thumps i felt later and that i was right all along, that i could feel him moving so early. This baby i think i can feel too. The feeling is all too familiar. I'm pretty sure its him or her, i mainly feel it when I'm sitting still and its quiet, or if im driving. We wil see if it really was him or her in a few weeks when the feelings get stronger. Please just give me some sushi Ive been craving sushi for the past two weeks. It sounds so good i think i can almost taste it. I havent really had too many cravings this goround. I read that is a lot stronger in first time pregnancies than in following ones. I get urges to eat certain things, but it hasn't been like the first time when i would crave something and HAVE to have it no matter what, i couldn't stop thinking about it until i got it. The only craving that has followed me is my chocolate milk craving. I love my chocolate milk. Tired- always I'm starting to get tired all the time. If i stay out for a few hours i feel like i need to go home and take a nap. I get exhausted from lifting and carrying or moving things around. Ive been getting dizzy a lot the past two weeks also, same as with Vincent so nothing new. I get up too quick and need to hold on to a counter or wall until it passes.  As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.My Aching Back I will post this a thousand times between now and the time this baby gets here: my back is killing me. I remember clearly now how bad my back hurt with Vincent. The only time its not hurting is when im sitting and mostly when I'm laying down. Pillows everywhere, and I'm only going to get bigger. Aunts & Hats I love baby hats, especially caps, like beanies, or sock hats. I'm a sucker when it comes to baby hats, i want them all. Vincent was born at the end of May also know to floridians as the middle of summer, so i didn'tget to buy many hats until that winter, but i bought them, alot of them and he wore them all. Luckily i have a gifted Aunt who crochets very well and Ive asked her to make me a few. I'm actually really excited, this is the first thing Ive asked someone to make the baby, or even the first thing Ive thought about for the baby. When i find out if its a girl or boy im going to go pick out my yarn that day. I really cant wait. I'm going chose the yarn for the hat i want him/her to wear special for the hospital. If its a boy ill probably choose a brownish green yarn, if its a girl probably a royal purple color. Pregnant Belly, For real My stomach is looking pregnant these days, my body looks pregnant. It took forever the first time to get a pregnant belly. I know you are supposed to show sooner with your second child, but my god. I look now like i did when i was 16 wks pregnant with Vincent. I mean, I'm not complaining i love the baby belly its my favorite, but its going to get bigger. High risk or not I go back to the doctors soon to find out if I'm high risk or not. I don't know what to think. I'm kinda hoping i am, that way they monitor me and the baby better. I really don't want to have preterm labor again id like to avoid it as long as the baby stays safe. And if i my body gives me no choice but to go into labor early id like to know, and id i like the doctors to be aware this time, so they can do what they need to to maybe speed up lung maturity and make it as easy for baby as possible.  Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future. Things haven't been to bad, I'm slowly beginning to remember how tired pregnancy makes you, and how out of breath you get when you lift something or walk a flight of stairs. My back hurts almost every day and it was the same when i was pregnant with Vincent, so I'm not to concerned. I fall asleep pretty fast at night and always wake to go to the bathroom in the early morning then i find myself tossing and turning for what feels like hours when i go back to bed. My stomach feels bigger than it looks, and gets bigger at night verses during the days. I hardly feel sick, i hardly get headaches like i did with my last pregnancy, all around this pregnancy is pretty easy aside from the depression I'm experiencing. My doctor had asked me if i had postpartum depression when Vincent was born, so I'm assuming the depression has something to do with that, considering it feels like the same kind of depression. It doesn't feel like I'm 11wks along, time is going by really quick.

♥How Big Is Baby [wk10]

This pregnancy has been pretty weird for me so far and the past 10 wks has passed by extremely quick. I have yet to tell Vincent about his new baby sister or brother. I'm sure ill tell him when i feel the time is right, but not now. Honestly I'm just not really feeling this pregnancy, i think it has to do with the horrible postpartum depression i expireinced after Vincents birth, or perhaps its simply because it was an unplanned pregnancy, either way i picked up blogging like i did with Vincent when he was a baby. Im hoping it helps me overcome depression and actually get into this pregnancy. You can read Vincents old blog here at Mama Loves Baby. i felt it only appropriate to start a new blog for the three of us, it just wouldn't seem right to use the old one. Its there if you'd like to catch up on old times feel free to read all you like.

With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)
