♥Daddy Needs A Drink By Robert Wilder
posted on Saturday, January 19, 2008.

I recently bought the book Daddy Needs A Drink By Robert Wilder, lately i have really been into humorous parenting memoir type books and i have to say this book is hilarious. Every page offers up a laugh of some sort. Its honest, funny and to the point.

It is a book of essays but reading through chapter to chapter it still reads seamless. Its perfect for a parent who is too busy to read more than a chapter at a time. I found it very hard to put the book down and there where many times i literally laughed out loud.

This is the book you will want to tell all your parent friends about.

♥I Couldn't Choose, So I Bought Them All
posted on Saturday, November 17, 2007.

The Boy loves books, and I love collecting them for him, so yesterday when i went to the stores do some Christmas shopping, naturally i checked out the books to see what was happening. I scanned the shelves in search for books that can catch my eye, because yes... i do judge books by the cover, I cant help it and its not something i am proud of. I picked a few books up and flipped through the pages. When i left the store my total cost in books added up to about sixty Dollars. Oh yeah, did i mention that these books aren't even board books, which means The Boy wont even be able to play with them without The Mommy's supervision. I couldn't help it, i wanted them....i mean for The Boy of course! These are the four books i settled on.

1.Someday by Alison McGhee & Peter H. Reynolds- Its a sweet book about a Mother who watches her child grow from and infant to an elder. Its a very touching book any mother can relate to the love and warmth this book offers.

2. the one, the only Magnificent Me words by Dan Haseltine & pictures by Joel Schoon Tanis- I will admit the pictures and colors in this book is mostly the reason i bought it. The story is cute, its about a boy who imagines himself into a creature, only to find out in the end that its much better to just be himself.

3. SkippyJon Jones and the Big Bones by Judy Schachner- This book is crazy and i totally bought it for the story, and the illustrations are just as great. It made me laugh a few times. I love it.

4. Walter the Farting Dog by William Kotzwinkle & Glenn Murry- The title of this book explains all. A rescues dog that has a farting problem who in the end becomes a hero. the pictures are great, and the story is way cute.
